Smart City Expo KL 2025 Wrap-Up From Johor to the World, Leading the Digital Smart City Ecosystem

Presgo Gateways Sdn. Bhd., through its flagship brand iData, proudly wrapped up a groundbreaking showcase at the Smart City Expo Kuala Lumpur 2025 (SCEKL25), the first Southeast Asian edition of the world’s premier smart city congress.

Our booth at Hall 2, Booth No. 2502 became a hub of discovery, dialogue and digital transformation. Leaders, policymakers, industry experts and partners experienced firsthand how Made-in-Malaysia AI is powering the cities of tomorrow.

Over three days, iData showcased a range of innovations shaping Malaysia’s smart city future. MySmartCity stood out as a next-generation digital governance platform built for local councils and agencies, unifying licensing, parking, tourism, environmental monitoring, complaints and facility management into one connected ecosystem. By replacing fragmented systems with a single platform, it enables faster approvals, real-time analytics and more citizen-focused services.

iEnforce showed how AI-powered enforcement is already running in Johor Bahru, using real-time data and predictive technology to boost compliance and improve council revenue. Visitors were also introduced to myHeroApp, a digital community hub that connects people to government services, local initiatives, entertainment and education. At the same time, the AI Centre of Excellence highlighted Presgo’s drive to position Malaysia as a regional leader in AI through knowledge transfer, training and real-world applications.

The expo was more than a showcase; it was a dynamic experience. Exclusive product launches and live demonstrations drew strong crowds. The presence of government leaders, universities and industry partners strengthened iData’s role as a bridge between technology, policy and society.

SCEKL25 was not simply an exhibition but a moment of momentum for Malaysia’s smart city ambitions.
